Emily Leonard

I have been interested in make-up from a very early age, having grown up
in a theatrical environment. Because of this it has been a passion of
mine for as long as I can remember. I was lucky enough to be in a position
where I could learn a lot about the field and started working on amateur
theatre shows and photoshoots from the age of 17.
I became a member of
St John Ambulance around the same time where I was taught casualty
simulation. When I finished my A Levels I went on to do a Foundation
degree in Media Make-up at Somerset College of Arts and Technology (Plymouth University).
I have been working in the industry since 2008 and have
worked on music videos, photo shoots (fashion and advertising), TV adverts
and short films.
I am qualified in the following:
Postiche including making facial hair, wig making and wig dressing
Hairdressing and hair styling
Fashion make-up
Photography make-up
Ageing make-up
Special effects including; casualty simulation, lifecasting, sculpting and prosthetics using liquid latex, gelatin and silicone

'Since coming across Emily several years ago she has worked with us on numerous occasions on a wide variety of different projects. This has included television commercials and corporate films for our high end clients to experimental music video and short film shoots that have required some adventurous prosthetic make-up.
No matter what the project, Emily never fails to impress. Her professionalism and work ethic is second to none. She has often travelled miles to be on set and on time for one of our jobs.
